Boots: As I said currently Aldur's, I guess Trek's (got them on my sorc) would be the BiS.Was thinking about Passion runword (which I could make already in a Cryptic Sword) or Silence (long shot) anyone a good suggestion? Weapon: Not really a good idea here for a "tank" currently Aldur's together with boots for set bonus.Shield: Sanctuary in +40 Royal Shield gave me a nice 115 allres shield.Chest: Currently Shaftstop, aiming for Stone runeword in 500+ armor chest, I think 60% FHR sounds insane and otherwise good def as well.Rings: Angelic (for set bonus) and a rare DL ring.Helmet: Currently wearing Tal Rasha's, simply because of high DL.

We're playing non-ladder, unmodded, self-found - so keep in mind that things like HRs and some super rare elite uniques are more of a long shot, but I need alternatives for that. Where to put points after that? Sacrifice?

  • A total of 94 skill points, so basically "finished" at level 83 (currently I'm 75).
  • One point in Vigor and prereq because you know.

Defensive auras: Max Defiance for Holy Shield synergy as well as whenever I need more defense. That's a total of 26 skill points in this tree. Also one point in Zeal as that's what I'm using as my main attack (just to proc LS). Combat skills: Max Holy Shield for obvious reasons.

Including requirements that puts me at 25 skill points in this tree.

  • Offensive auras: Max Conviction, nothing else.
  • Now I'm thinking of the "final build" for my support paladin. From behind me there's an MF lightning sorc wreaking havoc :> For dealing damage I have a Blizzard sorc, but this pala is basically the replacement of an Infinity merc (since we play non-ladder), so my new main role is to stay close to mobs, tank them, and have Conviction aura active. My paladin finally made it into hell and returns back to its original purpose: being a support character. Thanks everyone for the help on my first post in this sub.
